Terms of Service

Welcome to Stubby. By downloading or using the Stubby app, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Who we are

Stubby is a home maintenance app. You can reach us at feedback@stubbyapp.com.

2. Using Stubby

You must be at least 18 years old to use Stubby. You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes and not to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Try to gain unauthorized access to the app or its systems
• Reverse engineer or decompile any part of the app
• Send spam, malware or harmful content
• Impersonate any person or entity

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us right away at feedback@stubbyapp.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Free service

Stubby is free to use. There are no subscriptions or in-app purchases. To keep the AI features available to everyone, each account can ask a limited number of AI questions per month, and the app shows how many you have left. We may change features or limits with reasonable notice.

5. AI features

Stubby uses AI to provide home maintenance guidance. You acknowledge that:

• AI responses are for information only and are not professional advice
• We do not guarantee that AI-generated responses are accurate or complete
• For major repairs, structural issues, or electrical, plumbing or safety concerns, you should always consult a licensed professional
• We are not liable for damages resulting from reliance on AI-generated content

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you enter into Stubby. By using the app, you give us a limited license to store and process your content only to provide the service to you. You are responsible for making sure your content does not violate anyone else's rights.

7. Affiliate links

Stubby participates in affiliate programs including Amazon Associates. When you buy products through links in the app, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Stubby is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its maintenance recommendations suit your specific home or circumstances. Always use your own judgment and consult professionals when appropriate.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stubby is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including property damage, personal injury or financial loss resulting from following maintenance guidance in the app. Our total liability for any claims will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Stubby harmless from any claims, damages or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the app, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of anyone else's rights.

11. Third-party services

Stubby works with third-party services including Supabase, Anthropic, Amazon and Apple. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Ending your use of Stubby

You can stop using Stubby at any time. To remove your data, delete your account in the app under Tools, Delete Account, or see how to delete your account. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive will continue to apply.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in courts of competent jurisdiction in the United States.
